Fall is finally here! Time to dig up those scarves, boots, and cardigans buried deep inside your closet. In terms of fashion, this is definitely my favorite time of year – I especially love the bold pops of color that are trending this season. And of course, the layers!
But unfortunately, being bundled up in sweaters and coats doesn’t quite give me the motivation to work out. I won’t be sporting a bikini any time soon anyways so what’s the point, right?
Wrong! We’re all aiming for that perfect beach body once Spring rolls along, so why not start working for it now? Getting toned and fit is a gradual process—although I’m sure we all wish it would happen overnight. Swimsuit season will be coming around the corner before you know it, so save yourself from the intense dieting and exercise the week before spring break and start now!

Blues skies, California sun, and 75 degree weather. What more can you ask for? Here in California, you will find yourself in almost always perfect weather for a picnic down by the sea! Get out those picnic baskets and pack your favorite dishes and drinks to make it a real meal by the sea! It’s only been a couple of weeks, but I’m loving my internship at SwimSpot- a company that sells women’s swimwear. Why do I love it? Two reasons. I get to look at cute little bikinis like this Reef Stargazer Sweetheart Bikini all day but more importantly, SwimSpot loves to give back. Loves to support our local community. And we certainly have fun doing it.
My sorority – Kappa Alpha Theta – and I are staging a fundraiser event this upcoming Tuesday (September 27th) at the Sandhu Conference Center on Chapman University Campus from 6:30-10:00p.m. Sales of admission and raffle tickets for KATWalk, our annual charity fashion show, will help raise much needed proceeds for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). CASA matches up young, professional mentors with foster children having to deal with legal issues. The mentors help provide the youth with a more confident voice in court as they go through an emotionally trying and arduous process.

This week’s fashion trend is the sailor look. This look is in this summer with key colors of navy blue, white, and is often accented with red. Happy Fourth of July! Hope everyone is having a great holiday and being safe! So not only is today a special day for the country, but it is also my special day AKA my birthday! In the past years I have spent my birthday roasting at Disneyland, at my family’s river house, at our beach house, at friend’s parties, at local sports parks, at UC Davis for a volleyball tournament, and of course at my own house with my family. Being born on this day definitely has its perks and lows. It’s a bummer when everyone is out of town, but there is definitely always somewhere to go!
