After the parties, get togethers, friends and family of the holidays, New Year’s has arrived and now passed. And it’s time for that New Year’s resolution. I have two this year: make this year better than the last and improve my eating habits.
As a gal on the go, sometimes there isn’t much time to make a full, healthy meal. But I have discovered the benefits of leftovers from dinners out and the perfect snacks that taste good and help the body. Who doesn’t want those toned arms and shaped thighs just in time for bikini season? I know I do! These foods are a great addition to anyone’s pantry and after my grocery run last night, you can bet they are found in mine.
An Apple a Day…
I read somewhere that apples have shown to contain as much caffeine as a single cup of coffee. As a coffee fiend, I like this alternative which doesn’t stain teeth.
Hydrate with H2O
Water helps boost metabolism. Opt for ice cold water instead of sugar filled soda pop at lunch time. Cutting out sugary drinks will help you tone down quick! I carry an eco-friendly bottle with me wherever I go.
Get Your Veggies
Veggies help prevent collagen break down, but as someone who isn’t a fan of the greens, I have discovered pasta salad which contains the necessary carbs and makes eating those veggies a lot easier… and a lot more tasty.
Whole Grain
Whole grain pasta is a better to alternative to the norm and because whole grains tend to have more fiber, they fill me up faster, keeping my busy life on the go.
What are some of your New Year’s Resolutions? Getting ready for swimwear season? Or maybe just getting your new bathing suit of Swimspot.com? Whatever it is, I’d like to hear.
Waiting to hear your resolutions,
Erica
