Dancing with the Stars + Bikinis = Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Gals

We’ve made a recent discovery by figuring out the newest splash hitting newsstands. We love this new trend of Dancing with the Stars contestants multitasking as Sports Illustrated Swimsuit models.

Take for instance, Cheryl Burke meeting up with another fellow Dancing with the Stars beauty, Chelsie Hightower, at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Party in Sin City. The party was hosted at Vanity Nightclub in the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Cheryl Burke, whom wore a blue Luxe by Lisa Vogel bikini on SportsIllustrated.com, admitted that her dad felt a little uncomfortable when he saw the magazine. Burke’s dad reportedly had to walk out of the room when Burke’s parents saw the SI issue on the TV. Awkward, cute, and funny all rolled into one!

Right after the season finale of the Bachelor (don’t forget to TiVo March 1st, we’re crossing our fingers that Jake doesn’t choose Vienna), dun dun dun, they’ll be announcing Season 10’s cast of Dancing with the Stars! Throughout the two hour long-finale, Tom Bergeson will be wowing us with the exclusive DWTS roster. Among the rumored celebrities is SI Swimsuit Edition cover girl Brooklyn Decker! Decker’s cute hubby tweeted: "So happy/proud of my wife... the new cover for sports illustrated swimsuit issue!!!! unreal... so excited!!!!!!!!!!" If Decker trades in her flip flops for ballet flats, there’s no doubt Roddick will be rooting on the sidelines.

Rumored contestants we would NOT (emphasis on the not) want to see in a Swimspot bikini is Kevin Federline. However, after his stunt on Celebrity Fit Club, we’re hearing that the boy is slowly but surely getting his six-pack back. Then there’s also the ever so good looking, still smokin’, Uncle Jesse. We’re still crossing our fingers for a Full House Reunion, but until then seeing John Stamos doing a little fox trot, rumba, or salsa would be AH-Mazing. Another Full House alum possibly sharing the dance floor is our favorite big sister: Candace Cameron. Apparently, DJ Tanner fans agree with a Facebook group dedicated to putting Cameron on the show!

Someone who would make any Swimspot bikini look good is a possible Dancing with the Stars contestant, Pamela Anderson. Slipping on a fire engine red Athena Pick Your Fit – Serengeti Bandini Top with Serengeti High Waist Bikini Bottom will bring Pamela back to her Baywatch babe days. Taking a peep into her IMDB (Internet Movie Database) profile, the famous lifeguard has no upcoming projects. We hear tap shoes!

Could mommy of eight and tabloid cover girl Kate Gosselin cha cha her way to a Dancing with the Stars championship? We were all surprised to see Kate Gosselin bikini ready for the photos last year (with her high waisted belly button). Gosselin will have the photographers wanting more when she chases her kids down the beach with a gorgeous Ella Moss – Gillian Dress cover-up.

Finally, with host Samantha Harris not returning for Season 10, who do you think will take over the DWTS mic? Paula Abdul is a speculated host. Will the American Idol alum, rarely photographed in a bikini, dip into the bandwagon with her rumored Sports Illustrated co-stars?

I think we’re catching on to this magical new formula. Dancing with the Stars + Bikinis = Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue gals. We’re currently taking salsa dancing with a spicy instructor at our local gym. We’re SI Swimsuit Edition cover girls in the making! It’s a sure bet you’ll see a few of us in SI Swimsuit Edition 2011.

  • Look Good, Feel GoodFall is finally here! Time to dig up those scarves, boots, and cardigans buried deep inside your closet. In terms of fashion, this is definitely my favorite time of year – I especially love the bold pops of color that are trending this season. And of course, the layers! But unfortunately, being bundled up in sweaters and coats doesn’t quite give me the motivation to work out. I won’t be sporting a bikini any time soon anyways so what’s the point, right? Wrong! We’re all aiming for that perfect beach body once Spring rolls along, so why not start working for it now? Getting toned and fit is a gradual process—although I’m sure we all wish it would happen overnight.
