It’s That Time of Year Again…

Awards season that is! Watching gorgeous celebs wearing their favorite designers is something we all secretly indulge in. This year’s Golden Globes was filled with trend setting silhouettes perfect for not only the swanky red carpet but ideal for swimsuit season too! Award season always brings out top trends which can easily be translated from evening wear to swimwear. As we all know the beach or poolside vacays are a fashion arena of their own. We all look to the towel next to us and who’s wearing what. I personally love these three red hot looks and translated them into perfect beachside ensembles. No matter which one you choose you’re bound to make waves this season.

Dazzling White
First up, Jennifer Lopez looked stunning in a white Zuhair Murad gown. I was lucky enough to find this sparkling St. John Rose Garden Asymmetrical One Piece guaranteed to make anyone lounging by the pool wondering where you found it. Bonus of a white suit, all the work you’ve put into that tan will have paid off. Pair it with some heels and a fresh mani/pedi and you’ll be ready for a glamorous getaway.

Simply Chic
Eva Longoria can do no wrong in her Zac Posen gown at the Golden Globes this year. This amazing Opening Day Vintage Maillot Swimsuit by one of my fave brands, Luxe by Lisa Vogel, will be sure to turn heads no matter where you are.  Pair it with a cool drink and you have a day of much needed R & R ahead of you.

Goddess of the Sea
Amp up your wardrobe with a deep navy Athena Enhancer Underwire Bikini, a perfect alternative to black. Amy Adams wore a gorgeous Marchesa gown this year standing out among the rest on the red carpet. This suit will make sure you’ll be looking your best for any day on the yacht. The ruffles give it a fun and flirty look while the shirring mixed with shapewear will give you the ideal silhouette.

With dozens of dazzling gowns, vintage jewels and amazing stilettos we loved what we saw on Sunday night. As award season and sun filled days are closer than ever we at SwimSpot are ecstatic about springtime trends!

XoXo,

Lindsay

  • Look Good, Feel GoodFall is finally here! Time to dig up those scarves, boots, and cardigans buried deep inside your closet. In terms of fashion, this is definitely my favorite time of year – I especially love the bold pops of color that are trending this season. And of course, the layers! But unfortunately, being bundled up in sweaters and coats doesn’t quite give me the motivation to work out. I won’t be sporting a bikini any time soon anyways so what’s the point, right? Wrong! We’re all aiming for that perfect beach body once Spring rolls along, so why not start working for it now? Getting toned and fit is a gradual process—although I’m sure we all wish it would happen overnight. Swimsuit season will be coming around the corner before you know it, so save yourself from the intense dieting and exercise the week before spring break and start now!
