Memorial Day Weekend marks the beginning of summer which means it is time for some exciting activities, R&R and most importantly a time for remembrance. During this long weekend there are many celebrations around Los Angeles and Orange County so let the fun begin.
Here are some of my Top Picks for this weekend:
I will be spending most of my time at my favorite Memorial Day spot: the beach. Huntington beach to be exact. The beach is the perfect place to visit and show off your new bathing suit from SwimSpot and get your tan on. Whether you’re relaxing in the sun, barbequing with friends and family, or playing in the water, this Memorial Day weekend in the OC offers amazing opportunities for some fun in the sun.
Here are my personal tips for looking great on the 30th.
While strolling the Huntington beach arts and crafts show, celebrate one of this year’s top trends-Ruffles. My choice would be the Ella Moss Lorelei bikini which will bring out the girly-girl in you with its artsy Monet flavored print. I promise if you wear this bathing suit, the compliments won’t stop. If you’re looking for a little extra modest coverage, combine this cute swimsuit with Ella Moss’s Mozambique Willow Dress for an extra stylish touch.

If staying active is going to be your thing this holiday, join in on an exciting game of beach volleyball and sport the Next Beach and Body halter top and banded retro bikini. This cute and comfortable womens swimwear bikini will distract any competition you have on the beach court.

How about repping this Guess Plaid About U Halter Bikini and the Plaid About U Retro Ring Bikini Bottom at the Scottish Fair and Highland Games at the Orange County Fairgrounds. The festival features Scottish and Irish music, dance, sports and tons of culture. If you have ever watched the movie Braveheart starring Mel Gibson you would know about his famous plaid blue kilt so we here at SwimSpot think this bikini will be Perfect for this exciting festival.

All weekend long Hermosa Beach will be hosting the Fiesta Hermosa which offers seaside arts and crafts, live entertainment and shopping at 270 vendor booths. For your kids there is a carnival, a petting zoo and a Doggie Costume Contest.
Now for the most important event.
On Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Huntington Beach Pier Plaza the annual Memorial Day ceremony honoring the men and women who died serving our country will take place. We here at SwimSpot are thankful for everything our veterans have done on behalf of our freedom and country. And for those who were killed in action, our thoughts of respect will be with your friends and family on Monday.
Xoxo,
Alana & SwimSpot
