Operation Wedding Dress: Phase 4

201 days to go! Everything is finalized even down to the band! Needless to say, I am stressed out, tired, and now have reached what all my friends who have been brides have said would happen…loss of appetite. This is I am not happy with. I need to work out to keep stress at bay but without eating that doesn’t bode well. So what am I doing to combat stress? Yoga, boxing (yes still boxing gotta get those arms and back in dress shape) and running/spinning oh and how could I forget lifting.

Lifting – I hear many women (including those in my boot camp) say I am going to stick with the 3lb weights as I don’t want to bulk up or I don’t want to lift weights because I don’t want to bulk up. NOT THE CASE ladies. Weight lifting increases your metabolism which leads to loss of inches and body fat and in our words…fit back into those skinny jeans. So don’t shy away from picking up a weight a few pounds heavier you will not bulk we don’t have the muscles that bulk. And if you are runner or cycler you can stay injury free by lifting weights especially hamstrings and quads (wouldn’t that be nice?). And for those of you who just do Yoga or Pilates… you need to introduce weights for metabolic reasons.

Back to finding a way to stay stress free…good news is my pants are feeling loser today and I have lost 2lbs (to me this is nothing) but body fat is down 10% than it was and inches wise…I have fit into pants from 3 years ago!

Getting wedding dress ready,

  • Look Good, Feel GoodFall is finally here! Time to dig up those scarves, boots, and cardigans buried deep inside your closet. In terms of fashion, this is definitely my favorite time of year – I especially love the bold pops of color that are trending this season. And of course, the layers! But unfortunately, being bundled up in sweaters and coats doesn’t quite give me the motivation to work out. I won’t be sporting a bikini any time soon anyways so what’s the point, right? Wrong! We’re all aiming for that perfect beach body once Spring rolls along, so why not start working for it now? Getting toned and fit is a gradual process—although I’m sure we all wish it would happen overnight. Swimsuit season will be coming around the corner before you know it, so save yourself from the intense dieting and exercise the week before spring break and start now!
