Hey All,
My name is Michelle Regrut and I am a new intern at SwimSpot. For those of you who don’t know, we are located in lovely Orange County.
This is the perfect job for me because along with hundreds of thousands of other women around the world, I have a passion for fashion. A PASHION! To top it all off, I am a beach fanatic! Mixing these two loves of mine together makes me a stylish ‘suiter’ for SwimSpot. No pun intended.
I am a native to Southern California, born and raised by the beach in sunny San Diego. Growing up in San Diego - and now residing in Orange County - I would safely say I am a beach expert. Check and mark. What I love about SwimSpot is that there are so many designers and styles that fit all shapes and sizes for all ages! Ladies, you better believe we have a suit just for you!
Now I want to highlight some of my favorite SwimSpot.com features. The site offers one-on-one consultation as part of our Fit Specialist Program. Our trained Fit Specialists help you put together a swimsuit that works for your personality, style, and body shape. I can get a little bashful shopping for swimwear in person at a department store. So I’m really liking the idea that I can call or email and speak with a true expert of swimwear and actually enjoy the shopping experience -- fun and easy.
Now to share some personal beliefs: I am a fan of women who love their bodies and the Fit Specialist program embodies what it truly means to love yourself, your style, and your swimwear. Growing up at the beach I’ve had many swimwear “incidents”---tops that were too tight, bottoms too loose, or the worst, swimsuits that highlight problem areas. No more uncomfortable wardrobe malfunctions at the beach for me! I love this program because it finds your perfect swimsuit match. Working at SwimSpot has introduced me to a whole new light of being a swimsuit shopper and beach lover with the Fit Specialist Program.
The tricky part of carrying the title of “beach expert” – yeah, I’m talking about me again – is choosing what swimsuit style to sport at each beach. Beaches are like men. The waves come and go and each has a different personality. Let me give you a taste of what I mean and highlight my two favorite So Cal beaches.
Pacific Beach is where it’s at! PB is the best beach in San Diego to hang out and meet new people. The beach is surrounded by funky shops, restaurants, and bars. It is home to many tattoo and piercing parlors so you can imagine the fun characters you will find at PB. To fit in, you must stand out---if that makes any sense. Unique is key so I will wear Hurley’s Dottie Bandeau Bikini Top and matching Dottie Hipster Bottoms. This bikini is fun and flirty with the white dots contrasting against the black. The zip-up top adds a fun twist to the average bandeau. The top can be worn as a strapless bandeau or as a halter if you attach the black string tie. This bikini will stand out of the crowds for sure! To complete the look, I would pair this bikini with a straw fedora and some daisy dukes. Pacific Beach, here I come!
The closest beach to my childhood home is the glamorous Del Mar. Del Mar is home to the classy Del Mar Racetrack and elegant shopping by the Pacific Ocean. Del Mar is where the rich and famous sport their fancy floppy hats and diva personas. When I’m at this beach I must look the part. You must look the part. We all need to look the part. I recently learned about the LUXE by Lisa Vogel collection featured on SwimSpot. LUXE is absolutely perfect for Del Mar. A favorite suit of mine is the Luxe By Lisa Vogel - Opening Day Vintage Maillot One Piece. This classy one piece frames the body beautifully and compliments it with ruching down the sides. I would be sure to bring my big sunglasses, top it off with my floppy hat, and bear some thin silver bangles. Lifestyles of the rich and famous? I’m thinking yes!
