Perfectly Covered

Judging from the range of styles you’ll see on any beach, I think it’s a given that you don’t have to conform to just one swimsuit mantra. Which brings me to the topic of modest swimwear. I realize that a lot of the swimwear lines we carry here at Swimspot are definitely meant for putting your assets on display, but there are plenty of options for the girl who prefers a little coverage. Let’s face it, not all of us are comfortable with every part of our body and we might not want everything on display. But who says a modest swimsuit has to be frumpy? Trust me, you don’t have to spend all of summer in a cover-up by the pool, Swimspot’s got plenty of options for you that will keep you covered but still looking hot!

Tankini Tops- If you’re not exactly proud of your mid section, or would just prefer some more sun protection, tankini tops are the way to go! We’ve got plenty of styles to suit your fancy. Tankinis are a great way to wear a two piece swimsuit and feel modest at the same time. Luxe by Lisa Vogel offers two tankini options that are more are so glam-chic you’ll forget that they are tankini tops. You’ll be tempted to wear them to a party instead of just in the pool!

The Luxe Smithsonian long tankini top is perfect for hiding your midsection. The cowk neck keeps it fresh while  the banded bottom gives it a nice shape and fit.

Another great option from Luxe is the Tate peekaboo tankini top. This tankini top is almost too chic to wear only in the pool. The strategic draping will cover anything that is keeping you from feeling 100% confident in your swimsuit. It’s hard to call this top ‘dowdy’ with its tasteful peekaboo neck and chic hardware!

One Piece Swimsuit- Don’t want to deal with a fussy tankini top? No problem; there are plenty of one piece swimsuit options available. I usually have trouble finding one piece swimsuits that I like, fortunately, Swimspot has plenty to choose from. The one pieces featured from St. John and Tommy Hilfiger have a modestly cut bikini lines and great coverage up top. Grab any of these suits and you’ll be perfectly suited!

I love the St. John Solid Asymmetrical One Piece for it’s goddess quality. But it’s also got great coverage and plays on the one-shoulder trend that I love so much. The gorgeous blue color is sure to suit any skin tone.

The Tommy Hilfiger Above Board One Piece is by far the hottest one piece swimsuit I’ve seen! It’s equal parts Bay Watch, with it’s rich summer red color, and prep, with the gold crest on the hip. Thanks to  the thick straps this suit allwos for plenty of coverage on top.

Now you have plenty of choices for modest swimwear that won’t have you looking like your grandmother. Time to set that cover-up aside!
