Plum Perfect

Need help transitioning your makeup from summertime days to smoldering fall evenings? We have just what you’re looking for here at SwimSpot. Instead of jumping from your natural summery eye-look to a harsh black-coal eyeliner in one day, try easing into fall by blending a pop of color into your eye shadows.

Daytime Do’s
Mix falls hottest color (purple) into your eye shadow palate. Add lavender highlights to your neutral colored eyelid for a chic daytime look. A happy medium is Grifter from Urban Decay. Rachel McAdams magnifies the look by adding volume to her eyelashes. Another helpful tip – don’t be afraid of trying brown eyeliner, especially if you are a red head. It will give your eyelashes a natural look!

Nightime Musts
Pump up your look when you head out on the town with your gals. Add a deeper shade of plum near the base of your eyelid. Gradually mix in greys and browns to give the smokey eye effect. Want even more? Add on black liquid eyeliner like Keri Hilson or use Urban Decays Big Double Fatty Mascara which will instantly thicken and lengthen your eyelashes!

Whether you rock purple naturally or dramatically remember that it’s the universal color for all women. It compliments most skin tones, so wear it with pride!
