Runway Report: Spring Fashion In Full Bloom

Spring fashion is in full bloom and we’re here with a “Runway Wrap Up Report,” dishing spring’s most wearable looks and all that’s hot for Spring 2011.

1. “Talk-About” Trousers
There were a lot of trends that caught our eye, but we are so glad to see the comeback of the wide-leg trouser! They are such a fun way to spice up your work attire and they can easily be dressed down as well! A change of tops and you can go from office chic to beach carefree. We especially love how Tommy Hilfiger added a little flair with plaid to his Spring 11 line.

 2. “Need Me” Neutrals
Another trend on the comeback is “need me” neutrals. Camel continues to be all the rage and we are glad it will cross over into spring with shades of sand and ivory. Neutrals are easy to wear and you can always add a little pop with fun, colorful accessories.

 3. “At Your Attention” Military
This season we are seeing more of an abstract take on the traditional military and utilitarian trends. We also anticipate a military spin on some sound off swim. LUXE by Lisa Vogel’s Cadette Asymmetrical Bandeau Bra and “Riviera” String Pant, recently featured on the cover of Apparel News cover shows a play on the “feminine fatigues” trend.

 4. Ditzy Floral and Citrus Punch
Spring offers the girly girl a bouquet of prints and patterns. We are crazy for the ditzy floral and oh so happy prints. This season the hues are slightly muted so the look isn’t too loud or overwhelming. We also couldn’t help but notice the citrus color trend. Be sure to awaken your wardrobe with color pops of orange, yellow and green.

On a swim note, we can’t spill of our secrets on all that’s hot for swim 2011, but here are a few trends that will be making quite a splash next swim season.

Feathered skin prints, safari chic patterns, earthy hues, beads and braiding. We are calling it ‘Twisted Tribal.’ This trend will be both in neutral color palates as well as bold color hues.

Whether you can’t get over NYFW or are geared up for London’s Fashion Week be sure to share your lusts for 2011.

XoXo

  • Look Good, Feel GoodFall is finally here! Time to dig up those scarves, boots, and cardigans buried deep inside your closet. In terms of fashion, this is definitely my favorite time of year – I especially love the bold pops of color that are trending this season. And of course, the layers! But unfortunately, being bundled up in sweaters and coats doesn’t quite give me the motivation to work out. I won’t be sporting a bikini any time soon anyways so what’s the point, right? Wrong! We’re all aiming for that perfect beach body once Spring rolls along, so why not start working for it now? Getting toned and fit is a gradual process—although I’m sure we all wish it would happen overnight. Swimsuit season will be coming around the corner before you know it, so save yourself from the intense dieting and exercise the week before spring break and start now!
