Adriana’s Fitness Tip
I get in shape for the swim season by starting to be more active in the month of January. I focus on eating fruits, vegetables, protein and drinking A LOT of water. I also avoid late night dinners or snacks and I love starting my day by doing yoga.

Running is what I do to get bikini ready. I try to run outdoors as much as possible, but when the weather is bad I hop on the treadmill. The big bad machine works slightly different muscles so put the setting on a low incline to avoid muscle imbalances. Another helpful tip is to keep your running shoes just for running. These bad boys were made to absorb shock and are extremely flexible. Keep them up on a pedestal because they are the key to unlock your bikini body. Also, don’t forget to keep hydrated. I always have a H20 with me wherever I go!

In order to get the proper summer "situation" going on -- one must do crunches! Every night before I go to sleep I try to do at least 50 crunches. What motivates me? Well, besides all the images that we are bombarded with as women -- I try my favorite bikini on in February. I take a look at myself in the mirror and then I begin doing my crunches. I'm just like you, ladies. A normal woman. I'm not a model, nor do I look like one. But, I want to look my best! So lay down on a yoga mat, carpeted floor or area rug and do crunches. I suggest you do the same! Let's give Mike "The Situation" a new situation to deal with! See you at the beach!
Thea’s Fitness Tip
I’m one of those women who treats her body like a landfill during the cold-weather months, then promptly hits the panic button when bikini season looms. What works best for me are workouts that hold my interest: I’ve never been the type to hit the treadmill at 5:30 am and crank out five miles—my ADHD and sheer laziness won’t permit it. Instead, I take classes that keep me entertained: hip-hop classes that challenge my brain to memorize (and perform!) fast-paced routines, pole classes that require a surprising amount of athleticism, and weight-lifting classes that ensure I don’t wimp out on reps, sets, or form. My latest search for a snooze-free workout led me to Trapeze School New York: One session had me flying through the air, performing release skills and facing my fear of heights head-on. Sure, I couldn’t lift my arms for a week, but it was totally worth it. What’s next on my agenda? Aerials class! (Think Pink at the Grammies.)
