Adriana’s Tip – Celeb Workouts -
ATTENTION! It’s time to enlist and join forces with Terry Hatcher, Stephanie Mc Carty, Kim Kardashian. This swim season, I’m obsessed and getting fit with Barry’s Boot Camp in West Hollywood. Warning, his class is super intense yet fun! Barry’s revolutionary program combines drill sergeant tactics in a party-like, hip hop, dance party atmosphere. The one-hour classes include 30 minutes of fat burning cardio on treadmills, 30 minutes of strength training using free weights, and then traditional military exercises. Talk about a full body workout that uses every muscle in your body! If you aren’t SOCAL based, you can purchase Barry’s Boot Camp DVD’s online, so no excuses to getting a Hollywood bod by summer!
Dana’s Tip – At Home Workout –
Imagine if you could re-charge every cell in your body at home in a workout routine that actually was enjoyable? Well, you can! A rebounder, which is a mini-trampoline is not only an amazing full-body workout but aids in the rejuvenation of all of your body's cells! I personally own one of these and can tell you that I immediately noticed a leaner, more toned definition to my muscles and body shape. A rebounder is a great stress reliever as well. Muscular tensions you are holding in the body gently melt away. Your breath deepens - your spirit is recharged! It is one of the most fun and easy workouts to do at home. It was fabulous to feel like a kid again, as I jumped up and down on the mini-trampoline. Some gyms are offering re-bounder classes, but it's great to be able to utilize this energizing and healthy means of exercise at home! For further tips check out this informative rebounder clip. Work it out! This exercise will have you on the beach looking hotter than ever in no time.
Katty’s Tip – Spin Class -
Spinning classes can be a fantastic way to get a vigorous workout - burning calories and keeping your muscles in shape! Spin classes last between 30-75 minutes. I usually fit in a 45 minute class here and there between my hectic schedule. Luckily, for Spin all you need is workout gear, a towel and good ol’ H2O. My favorite workout attire consists of the Match Point Tankini Top and matching crop pant from Next by Athena. This line is versatile and works well with my hectic life schedule. So gear up, top off your water bottle and pedal away the pounds!
Thea’s Tip – Best 30 Minute Workout-
On my last trip to Las Vegas, I caught a performance of Le Reve, a Cirque du Soleil-inspired show set in a diving pool. And while I spent a good part of the show trying to figure out how they were holding their breath underwater for so long, I was more so distracted by the beautiful, powerful, and sinewy bodies of the performers. Surely real people could never achieve that level of fitness, I lied to myself. Wrong again, Thea Palad. Apparently the workout gurus at Reebok spent a year designing a workout inspired by the movements of Cirque du Soleil performers. I was fortunate enough to try a modified version of the class recently (no Fly Set, just resistance bands so you can replicate the moves at home), and my shoulders still haven’t forgiven me for it. The class is offered in top gyms all over the world, including Equinox in New York City.
