"Telephone" Talk

Lady Gaga is making a style statement once again. Premiering on E! News, the highly anticipated release of her music video “Telephone” featuring Beyonce, may have left you speechless but we want to dish. Let’s “telephone” talk.

Hello, hello, hello…holy stripes and skin! Lady Gaga sure stole the spotlight with her bold, bazaar and out of this world wardrobe. Although the “Poker Face” diva hit some high fashion notes, we didn’t love every look.

Lady Gaga strips down, stripes up and rocks the jailhouse in several silhouettes. She first sets the scene in a black and white striped plunge neck dress with over exaggerated shoulders, then gets brave and bares it all. The studded singer definitely put her signature spin on usually drab jailbird get-up. While in lock down, Lady Gaga was strategically wrapped in fluorescent yellow caution tape barely covering those oh so private parts. They must have bottomed out on their wardrobe budget and gone dumpster diving for this look! We would have been happy to let them use one of our Guess swimsuits! This is still under style investigation…

Let’s talk about the caffeinated curlers and cigarette shades. Props to Coca-Cola on the product placement but no matter how much we love the zero cal beverage, we weren’t addicted to the Diet Coke hair rollers.  We did however, love the smokin’ shades. Lady Gaga gave smoldering eyes a whole new meaning.

Enter Beyonce. Belting it out in a bright yellow frock, the well-decorated Grammy award winning artist transformed into “Wonder Woman,” paying tribute to the U.S.A. with this patriotic motif. The dynamic duo was close to an exact replica of the iconic crime fighting superhero’s costume, only missing the bullet proof bracelets.

Just when you think the Lady Gaga has run out of looks, she slips into a skin-tight leopard one piece. The whole outfit was a bit overwhelming. It’s as if the animal swallowed her whole.  Let’s just say, it didn’t impress us much - Shania Twain, you win.  So sorry Gaga!

What do you think? Were you gaga over the wacky wardrobe? Whether you are or not, you must admit, the song is a hit. We will definitely be listening to “Telephone” while soaking up the sun. Will you be adding this song to your spring break playlist?
