The Glitz and Glamour at the 2011 Academy Awards

Glitz and glamour at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards were all the frenzy this week here at SwimSpot. We are not just talking about the winners of the Academy; we are hyping about the breath-taking designer gowns that the stars strutted on the red carpet. As we were blown away by the dazzling night, we couldn’t help but notice that these fashionable stars mastered in setting trends that would bring more heat to the up and coming season. Pastel colors and sophisticated black and whites were unforgettable styles that heightened the excitement of the Oscars. Celebrities like Mila Kunis, Camila Alves, and Reese Witherspoon rocked these looks that provided a dash of elegance and a dollop of fun.

Layered in lilac lace, Mila Kunis was styling the low-cut neckline that tastefully embraced her chest. As the weather heats up, opportunities to show more skin is a must. This is Athena’s Maldives Enhancer Tankini that can give you a slimming appeal by enhancing the body in all the right places. With its ruched designed cups, anyone can look as gorgeous as Mila during the summer.

Also looking ravishing, Matthew McCounaughey’s arm candy, Camila Alves, wore a low-v cut gown at Oscar Night that took everyone’s attention, including her man’s. You can also get this sexy design from Guess’s Gather Round G-Cut Monokini at our site.  Its plunging neck line is daring, but who wouldn’t want to look this bad at the beach?

Bringing the classic look on the red carpet, Reese Witherspoon wore a simple black gown with a white trim that brought sophistication to the red carpet. In our shop, we have Athena’s African Queen One Piece Swimsuit that captures Reese’s decade look. The black and white stripes elongate the torso providing a more slender body. This designer swimwear brings back classic retro design into today’s fashion.

Style yourself with these trends for spring break to feel savvy like star yourself!

With Love at Swimspot,
Bambi

  • Look Good, Feel GoodFall is finally here! Time to dig up those scarves, boots, and cardigans buried deep inside your closet. In terms of fashion, this is definitely my favorite time of year – I especially love the bold pops of color that are trending this season. And of course, the layers! But unfortunately, being bundled up in sweaters and coats doesn’t quite give me the motivation to work out. I won’t be sporting a bikini any time soon anyways so what’s the point, right? Wrong! We’re all aiming for that perfect beach body once Spring rolls along, so why not start working for it now? Getting toned and fit is a gradual process—although I’m sure we all wish it would happen overnight. Swimsuit season will be coming around the corner before you know it, so save yourself from the intense dieting and exercise the week before spring break and start now!
