Triple threat has turned into a quadruple threat. Back in the day, a triple threat was considered an actress, singer, and dancer. These days, we need to add a well-versed writer to that list. Our go-to fashion bibles have stemmed from the writings of Vogue, Elle, and Harpers Bazaar. Leave it to this generation’s multitalented celebrities to signature more than just autographs. Expect this upcoming fall, celebrities penciling in “author of fashion guidelines” to their resumes.
Lady Gaga, always a fixture in the news, is having a book released based on her headliner fashion choices, on September 14, 2010, just in time for New York Fashion Week. It is entitled Lady Gaga: Critical Mass Fashion and will chronicle her intense fashion statements. Expect artistic explanations behind her crazed outfits,(yes, they do have meaning)over 120 color photos, and text by Rolling Stone columnist Lizzy Goodman. Maybe we can get some insight behind her totally out there and unique outfits, although some say it is too early for this sort of memoir from Gaga. Anyways, it is safe to say that there will be much to enjoy and much to WOW us from Lady Gaga’s book.
Another style bible expected out this summer is by the New York Bestseller extraordinaire Lauren Conrad, called Lauren Conrad Style. With winged eyeliner and helping transform summer braids into a “grown-up” style, Lauren recommends taking in your wardrobe to the tailor for THE perfect fit. Conrad states that most of her clothes are tailored and that you shouldn’t be afraid to do the same. Having three novels behind her belt for her bestsellers LA Candy, it’ll be a refreshing take to see Lauren’s real life style advice revealed (We’re missing her down-to-earth personality The Hills!).We can look forward to Conrad dishing out her old style faux paus, rather “keep in the dark” high school stories, and her own fashion evolution. The book hits stores on October 5, 2010.
Which celeb book will you be indulging in?
