The Sailor Look

Anchors away!

This week’s fashion trend is the sailor look. This look is in this summer with key colors of navy blue, white, and is often accented with red. Splendid’s Mary Ann Eyelet Triangle Bikini Top and Tie Side Bikini Bottom are nautical-inspired and perfect for this style. The bikini is navy blue with white sailor stripes and white string ties. The sides are defined with picot edging to add extra pizzazz to the suit.

Tailor your sailor look with anchored accessories. Try anchor stud earrings, a cool-shaded pair of aviators, and a white watch with a navy face and jeweled border. Wear high-waisted sailor shorts with a striped flowy top. The large sequenced anchor will add extra sparkle to this outfit. A cute beach bag option would be a nautically knotted bag with a rope pattern across the front. Finish the look with a white fedora with navy blue ribbon on your head and simple strappy sandals on your toes. Get in the maritime mood because your sailor look is complete! Off to the ship, port, yacht, or wherever you are sailing to this summer!

Xoxo,
Michelle

In terms of fashion, this is definitely my favorite time of year – I especially love the bold pops of color that are trending this season. And of course, the layers! But unfortunately, being bundled up in sweaters and coats doesn’t quite give me the motivation to work out. I won’t be sporting a bikini any time soon anyways so what’s the point, right? Wrong! Getting toned and fit is a gradual process—although I’m sure we all wish it would happen overnight. Swimsuit season will be coming around the corner before you know it, so save yourself from the intense dieting and exercise the week before spring break and start now!
