This Week's Girls Night Out!

We have a confession to make. You know Las Vegas where everything is virtually free for the ladies? (SwimSpot was recently a sponsor there for the 944 Pool Series at MGM Wet Republic).

Confession #1 – Us and a bunch of our girlfriends make up pseudo names and create numbers when heading out to the clubs. All in good fun right? Names we usually use are Sarah, Cynthia, Kim, and Kristin, otherwise known as Carrie, Miranda, Samantha, and Charlotte.

As we mentioned in a previous post, you’d have to be living under a rock to not know that Sex in the City 2 hits theaters this week on Thursday, May 27th! We were giddy with excitement when we first saw the trailer of a posh, white dress, louboutin rockin, Sarah Jessica Parker stylishly walking out of double doors with “Empire State of Mind” blasting.

It’s been a long enough wait for our dose of drooling over high-end fashion labels, as the ladies jet set on an adventure to exotic Abu Dhabi. What to expect from strutting around in their heels camel back in the desert? Fashionable swimwear as they try to cool off poolside and gasp! Will sparks fly when Carrie gets her little vacay from hubby Big, flocking into the arms of lost flame Aidan? Are you on Team Aidan or Team Big?

Speaking of hawt weather, let’s reiterate that if you’re tanning nearby beautiful Southern California, on May 27th head to SwimSpot’s newly opened popup store at the Irvine Spectrum. You’re invited to our Sex and the City 2 Launch Party where we’ll have special pampering with a Planet Beauty makeup artist, delicious Cosmos, and decadent Sprinkles Cupcakes. Spend over $100 at the store to obtain free vouchers to see the Sex and the City 2 movie! Get your Sex in the City fix by being pampered like our favorite cosmo sipping ladies!

  • Look Good, Feel GoodFall is finally here! Time to dig up those scarves, boots, and cardigans buried deep inside your closet. In terms of fashion, this is definitely my favorite time of year – I especially love the bold pops of color that are trending this season. And of course, the layers! But unfortunately, being bundled up in sweaters and coats doesn’t quite give me the motivation to work out. I won’t be sporting a bikini any time soon anyways so what’s the point, right? Wrong! We’re all aiming for that perfect beach body once Spring rolls along, so why not start working for it now? Getting toned and fit is a gradual process—although I’m sure we all wish it would happen overnight. Swimsuit season will be coming around the corner before you know it, so save yourself from the intense dieting and exercise the week before spring break and start now!
