The 4th of July is all about celebrating our Nation’s birthday with 3 F’s…Fun, Family and Fireworks!!! If you want to add some Bang to your 4th of July holiday weekend, you’re in luck because we’ve picked the Top 5 cities in the nation for holiday fireworks celebrations. Historically, these 5 spots are well-known for their extravagant shows.
Now, we’d be remiss if we didn’t recommend a patriotic swim look or two for you to sport the day of the big celebration. Here are three looks we feel will bring a smile to Uncle Sam’s face.
Back to the fireworks that go bomb! After looking around for the BEST shows in the US, it’s time to finally let you know the hot spots for FIREWORKS. Counting down to my favorite show here goes #5!
#5 "Welcome America!"- Philadelphia
If 24 hours worth of July 4th fun just isn’t enough, head to the city of brotherly love…Philadelphia. The show “Welcome America” is Philadelphia’s annual Independence Day celebration and lasts for 2 weeks starting June 24th. The Fourth of July Jam and Grand Finale Fireworks special on July 4 at 7 p.m. will include live performances by Earth, Wind & Fire and The Roots. Other goodies include food tastings, outdoor movies and a range of educational events for people of all ages. Check it out,I know you’ll have the time of your life.
#4 "Pops Concert at the Esplanade"-Boston
Since 1974, thousands of people from all over the country have come to celebrate America’s birthday at the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular. The annual event includes a concert on July 3 and fireworks show on July 4 at 10:30 p.m. The Oval seating is even free and open to the public, which means to get a good seat get there early.
#3 “Celebrate America” - Disney World Orlando, Florida
For all ages, Walt Disney World is a magical place to be in on any ordinary day, so with a little imagination you can picture just how unbelievable the fireworks theatrics are on the 4th. The Magic Kingdom will host the Celebrate America fireworks show on July 3-4. Fantasmic! This show is a breathtaking 25-minute fireworks and water show scheduled for 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on July 4 (you mention July 3 and 4th above, but only the 4th here). There will be a fireworks show that is synchronized to a soundtrack of famous rock ‘n roll hits. If you plan to be in Epcot that night, don’t miss IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth at 10 p.m. – a mesmerizing fireworks, laser and water show that will include a special patriotic finale. Let’s get on a plan and go to Orlando…Its time!!!
#2 “Independence Day Celebration”- Washington DC
Washington DC-----our nation’s capital, what could be more PATRIOTIC? This is the home of the National Independence Day Parade and Smithsonian Folklife Festival. The night of July 4, you can enjoy performances by some of the biggest names in music, including Josh Groban, Jordin Sparks and Little Richard – all joined by the world-renowned National Symphony Orchestra. And the grand finale...of course a spectacular fireworks display that will light up the sky behind the Capitol Building and the National Monument.

#1 "Macy's 4th of July"- New York City
Everyone knows the Big Apple is home to celebrating every holiday in a huge way. So no surprise that the Largest Fourth of July fireworks display in the nation can be seen at Macy’s on the 4th. The 35th Annual Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks will feature more than 40,000 fireworks fired from six barges on the Hudson River, all synchronized to a dynamic 25-minute music presentation that includes music from The New York Pops, Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and pop powerhouses including Taio Cruz, Everclear and Katy Perry.This show has something called the “Golden Mile” that is a shower of golden fireworks that stretch a mile across the Hudson river ….MAGICAL.
So whether you are going to be traveling to one of these destinations for some Unbelievable fireworks or staying at home and watching the fireworks from your backyard, I know you will have a Great and memorable 4th.
