Try the Bar Method to get Your SwimSuit Bod

I take fitness pretty seriously, and recently I tried out a new (at least new to me) fitness program called the Bar Method.  When I first started it kicked my butt-literally and figuratively. So what is the Bar Method?  Bar Method is a combination of interval training, isometrics, and deep muscle stretching.  You target all your major muscle groups in just one hour, so it’s great if you’re on the go like I am because you can get everything you need in a workout in one quick session.

If you can’t find a Bar Method studio near you, no worries!  Check out a few of the most effective workouts that you can do in the comfort of your own home or gym. If you are still finding you need a little extra help, try this video for a quick overview!

What I love about Bar Method is that it really does everything I need for my body; flattens my abs, elongates my thighs, and just makes everything perkier, if you know what I mean.  Even celebs are into the Bar Method including Drew Barrymore and Denise Richards.

Now, if you’re like me, when you start a new workout routine or head to a new gym, you like to get some new sporty digs. I recently bought the Good Karma Top from Next. So comfortable and supportive and the best part is when I’m done with my workout I can take a quick dip in the pool to cool down.

But if you don’t want to go all out for a new workout wardrobe, take the proverbial plunge and buy a new tankini bikini top instead. We feature some nice ones on SwimSpot.com.  The Smithsonian Long Tankini Top by Luxe by Lisa Vogel is perfect for a playful personality. Or the Find the Rhythm Tankini Top by Next can work for the tomboy in you! Whichever you select these swimwear tops will be a perfect addition to your wardrobe!

Okay, now it’s time to try the Bar Method moves. Trust me on this one – you will have perfectly toned arms, core and legs by your holiday vacation. You can thank me later.

XoXo
Katie
