Welcome Nicole!

Hello, loyal readers of The Spot!

My name is Nicole and I will be guest blogging here on The Spot once a month to bring you all the fashion must-haves I’m obsessing about.  Whether it be the hottest bag of the season or the trend of the moment, I’ll be bringing it all to you first, dear readers.

A little bit about me: I’m a fashion writer for Handbago.com, a blog dedicated to All Things Handbags.  If you’re looking for the latest must have designer bag or searching for fresh designers no one has heard of yet, look no further than Handbago!  I also write for my own blog, Her Current Obsession, where I focus on my current obsessions, personal style and recent purchases.  Fashion is what you make of it and I’m excited to share my fabulous finds with you!  Let the obsessing begin!

For your first obsession, it’s all about finding the perfect handbag for the season.  This fall is all about color and structure.  Not everyone has the same taste, so I’ve taken my top 3 handbag trends for you to choose from.

Red: The color of the season is red.  You must wear this rosy hue this season and what better way to show your style than with a fabulous red handbag.  My top pick is the lipstick red Valentino Rouches Lacca Bowler.  The flirty ruffles on the front balance out the structured shape of the bag.

Military Inspiration: Army green is huge right now and I’m sure almost all of us own a pair of army green skinny cargos by now.  Botkier does an amazing job incorporating this trend with the Aiden Satchel in soft lambskin.  This fabulous bag can be worn all day and the color works as a neutral to match almost any outfit.

Animal Print: I have a confession to make.  I love leopard print.  I have leopard scarves, flats, tank tops, you name it. If it’s leopard, I love it.  The Gucci Heritage Pony Hair Boston Bag is number one on my lust list for fall.  The leopard print isn’t overpowering and the structured shape is reminiscent of the Mad Men era.
Whatever your style, be sure to incorporate one of these trends into your fall wardrobe.

  • Look Good, Feel GoodFall is finally here! Time to dig up those scarves, boots, and cardigans buried deep inside your closet. In terms of fashion, this is definitely my favorite time of year – I especially love the bold pops of color that are trending this season. And of course, the layers! But unfortunately, being bundled up in sweaters and coats doesn’t quite give me the motivation to work out. I won’t be sporting a bikini any time soon anyways so what’s the point, right? Wrong! We’re all aiming for that perfect beach body once Spring rolls along, so why not start working for it now? Getting toned and fit is a gradual process—although I’m sure we all wish it would happen overnight. Swimsuit season will be coming around the corner before you know it, so save yourself from the intense dieting and exercise the week before spring break and start now!
