What to wear to Coachella

The annual Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California is only 15 days away! When else is there going to be an entire weekend where you can dance to house music or sing along with the Strokes’ to their new album? This festival is all the rage with hipsters and fashionistas alike, so there will definitely be a sea of chic outfits out there in the screaming crowd. Each year after Coachella, there are scores of pictures out on fashion websites showcasing the best outfits of this rock and roll weekend. This brings the question: what should you wear? While you’re picking your outfits, keep in mind that it will get extremely hot out all weekend since Indio is practically in the desert!

Keep your beauty routine light, no one wants melting makeup during the day! We suggest a sunscreen with at least a SPF 30—you’ll definitely tan under this sun, so it’s better to first protect your skin from harsh UV rays. Try this Neutrogena Ultra Sheer sunblock. Its texture is light enough so you don’t feel like you’re caking product onto your face.

Avoid scalp burn during this weekend by wearing a chic big, floppy hat or a cute fedora. If you choose one made of a straw-like material, you won’t feel too stuffy as you cheer on the bands during the day.

Many girls opt to wear swimwear for their weekend adventures and layer over it with a light, lacy top and a light pair of shorts on the bottom to create a boho look. Bright colors are a must for Coachella, how else would your friends be able to spot you from the crowd? This Reef Tropic Halter Bikini Top and Retro Bikini Bottom will be perfect. The different colors stand out from one another while the gold stripes on this halter bikini give a bit of glimmer that will last you throughout the afterparties.

There’s going to be celebrities and pool parties galore, hosted by the most up-to-date fashion brands out there (Lacoste hosted a pool party last year at Coachella). This Ella Moss Sahara Shana Tunic is the perfect swimsuit cover up for these VIP events. You will definitely be noticed wearing this cream crochet tunic. Plus, it’s easy to go from poolside to stage side wearing this gem.
