From the hundreds of suits that I tried on for this case, the Next Malibu zip up one piece was most comfortable. I wore this over my bikini while paddle boarding. The key was that I felt supported without feeling constricted during the workout. The suit’s flat seams and soft fabric means no chafing! How great is that? Also, this is a great piece for sun coverage due to the cap sleeves and low leg eye. After I finished my workout, I was able to lie on my beach towel in my bikini and relax while getting a glowing suntan.
I decided to try some Nautica suits to test out my skills in the pool. My favorite was the high neck tankini and the short. The wide arm openings were a great benefit for all swim strokes I tried: freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly and sidestroke. The short was great too since they stayed tight to the body and didn’t drag. One of the best hidden features of this Nautica suit is that the fabric has UV protection and is quick dry, so I was ready to run into my yoga class without any of the post-swim chills! From there, I ran to the mall for a quick errand; my whole day was so busy I did not even notice I had swam in my outfit and felt comfortable the entire time.
I’m an east coast girl so when I decided to take surfing lessons, I wanted to make sure that my suit matched my personal style. I want different fit options (bra sizes, D cups, tankinis with adjustability, underwires, less coverage pants, shorts, active one pieces) and prints or colors that match my lifestyle and mood. Oakley’s underwire D-cup bra in bright orange (caution new surfer) made some of my worries go away. I had so much support that I did not feel self-conscious. The color and shape of this top was made for me. Meanwhile, I had to be concerned whether or not I was going to be eaten by a shark! Don’t worry, I survived… I was safe and secure during my whole lesson. I even stood up once!
